Prime Outlets
Williamsburg, Virginia
McPherson Design Group assisted in the design of this $55 Million expansion project at Prime Outlets (Phase VII and VIII), which met federal requirements for “green building”. Construction elements included eco-conscious storm water management, green roofing, and reduced water consumption. This project included the design of 115,000 square feet, to include 25 new top designer and brand name stores and a 300-seat food court. The exterior of the buildings had CMU bearing walls and the roof was constructed with steel bar joists and interior structural steel columns and beams. This project also included the analysis of existing buildings at some of the end walls to determine the structural stability of the buildings to remain. In addition, McPherson Design Group completed Special Inspections for this project.
