Grandy Village Townhomes Community Learning Center

Norfolk, Virginia

McPherson Design Group completed this Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) project, which included contract documents for three structures at Grandy Village. The first structure is a 12,700 square foot Community/ Learning Center. This building was designed to LEED Gold standards and is 30%-40% more energy efficient than conventional buildings. In October 2011, our design team was awarded the HRACRE Design Award for Best Sustainable Design for Grandy Village Learning Center. The other two buildings that were part of this project were a shed structure and an educational dock.
